(Boucherville, QC) – Dana TM4 is launching its new fully programmable Dana TM4 NEUROTM 200 controller designed specifically for electric and hybrid vehicles. Engineered according to ISO26262 principles for the latest safety and quality standards, economical prototyping to production is achieved in a Simulink® environment using the new Dana TM4 SynAppsTM development platform.

The new Dana TM4 SynAppsTM development platform gives programmers complete development freedom. Operating in the well-known MATLAB®/Simulink® environment, all the advantages of model-based design are being met, such as simpler, faster development cycles and model re-use. This easy code generation gives users an undeniable edge for rapid prototyping purposes and reduces time-to-market by allowing them to fine-tune their algorithms as needed.



«Moreover, this new product truly allows a wide range of development strategies: customers can choose from a fully programmable controller to a turn-key product that is ready to be used on the vehicle.» Users can also optionally purchase specialized block sets for performance, comfort and drivability, as well as basic application software source code to save development time and costs.

Dana TM4 has more than 15 years of experience in developing complex control software for a wide range of applications. Complete development service can be performed if required, as well as training and support for stand-alone developers.

The NEUROTM 200 is an 80-pin rugged encapsulated controller capable of operating in harsh under-hood vehicle environments. Significantly lighter and smaller than its predecessor, it incorporates the latest 300MHz dual-core lock-step TI Hercules TMS570LC4 microcontroller.

Operating between 8 Vdc – 30 Vdc, this controller can be used in a range of applications, from passenger cars to commercial vehicles. Optional features such as Wi-Fi, real-time clock and additional EEPROM offers the user more flexibility and control.
