The industrial engineer brings an industrial perspective to the manufacturing of products and offers support and expertise between the design and the realization of assemblies. He or she may be called upon to work on a variety of products, including motors, inverters, chargers and cables. He or she also oversees the continuous improvement of manufacturing stations and equipment.

Your mandate: revolutionize the world of transportation, while:

  • Participating in the development of specifications, bids, purchasing, manufacturing, delivery and commissioning of standard or custom equipment
  • Carrying out configurations, setting up and improving workstations or work areas
  • Developing work, assembly and control methods for dedicated equipment
  • Participating in the reduction of health and safety risks in the various assembly or test operations
  • Ensuring industrialization and cost reduction for manufacturing
  • Participating in the manufacturing BOM structure of the different products
  • If necessary, follow the assembly of the first prototypes, make recommendations following observations (NPI) and make the required corrections to the equipment
  • Providing technical support for prototype assembly
  • Handling non-conformances in production/inspection and participating in the processing of customer returns
  • Participating in the development and follow-up of process FMEAs and other product quality documents
  • Leading process improvement and optimization, problem solving and failure analysis exercises
  • Monitoring one or more product lines during development, participating in design and implementing Design For Assembly (DFA) principles
  • Taking part in various continuous improvement projects
  • Any other related tasks

 

You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or equivalent combined with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
  • Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec
  • Basic knowledge of 3D design software (NX an asset)
  • Experience with IATF 16949 and the PPAP process, an asset
  • Experience in an ISO work environment
  • Autonomy, initiative and organizational skills
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Team player and collaborative spirit
  • Ability to work in a changing and growing environment
  • Very good written French and able to express yourself in English
