As a Team Leader, Procurement and Logistics, you will be responsible for supervision and coaching tasks related to production planning (short, medium and long term), supply, inventory management as well as the management of logistics activities in the plant (receiving, storage, picking, shipping, cyclical inventory, etc.), for the smooth operation of production activities.

Your challenges

  • Ensure that the production plan is kept up to date according to established standards
  • Ensure internal coordination between different departments (Purchasing, Sales, Production, Quality, etc.) in order to establish the most reliable and stable production plan possible, in accordance with established standards
  • Schedule, on a weekly basis, the production according to the PDP in collaboration with the production supervisor and ensure the follow-up to meet the PDP
  • Ensure that you become an important part of the organization in achieving the monthly billing figures
  • Coordinate with the procurement staff to process the supply requests required to meet the PDP
  • Ensure the proper setup of purchasing items and act as an early warning system
  • Coordinate, with his team, the supply of parts in time to meet the established production plan
  • Build a supplier alert and reminder system to minimize the risk of missing parts in production
  • Control inventory in financial and physical terms to meet the company’s financial objectives and any inventory reduction/control plans
  • Manage and coordinate the work of a team of 6 warehouse workers
  • Coordinate with your logistics team the preparation of material for the various assembly stations within the allotted time frame
  • Ensure that the registration of the entry and exit of materials in the warehouse is done correctly
  • Prioritize with your team the returns and inspections of the material when it is received
  • Ensure the maintenance of order and cleanliness of the store, the yard and the various storage areas
  • Participate in the efficient management of the store by proposing innovative solutions
  • Ensure that delivery notes and international documents are completed correctly
  • Solve departmental problems and challenges with a spirit of continuous improvement
  • Establish and support the implementation of performance indicators related to customer satisfaction, lead time management and other measures as required
  • All other related tasks

 

Your strengths

  • 3-5 years experience in an industrial field related to production planning, parts procurement, internal logistics and inventory control
  • Ability to analyze and process / exploit data
  • Research and analysis of inventory discrepancies
  • Procurement and planning strategy
  • Experience in staff supervision
  • Familiar with computerized inventory management systems
  • Ability to plan and organize
  • Thoroughness and attention to detail
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks
  • Tact and tolerance for pressure
  • Judgment and initiative
  • Negotiation and persuasion skills
  • French and English, spoken and written, are essential
