As the Project Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall quality of Systems Projects deliverables; including internal/external customer deliverables, accomplished through hands on design quality checks, project audits, implementing project quality initiatives and tracking quality metrics. In this role, you will use your experience and expertise to find solutions, develop & execute project quality objectives and short and long-term business goals.

Your challenges

  • Lead the Product Design Quality for the projects (Quality cross-functions and the projects teams) and support organizations to drive quality performance
  • Recognize potential shortfalls in design processes and develop corrective actions to reduce defects and design-related field issues
  • Provide training and support to the team to use best Design CTQ (Critical To Quality) processes and full integrated PPAP processes
  • Lead Customers audits activities related to Product projects
  • Lead, leverage, and implement projects continuous improvement of quality methods, procedures and initiatives including aspects of ISO9001 to improve established quality KPI’s
  • Through your expertise in 8D processes, you will perform RCA’s (Root Cause Analysis) and implement corrective actions
  • Support key customer technical quality Issues related to product Design


Your strengths

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology
  • Minimum of 2 years of design or design related experience in design & minimum of 3 years in a quality role
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, influencing and facilitation skills
  • Capable to present ideas to stakeholders in order to influence
  • Strong business acumen, fully understands the mission and scope of business objectives
  • Ability to work in a Global matrix environment and cross functionally
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certified and Knowledge of lean quality concepts and tools, an asset
  • Ability and willingness to travel, including international travel
  • Excellent personal computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office Suite of tools
  • Familiarity with CAP (Change Acceleration Processes)
  • Knowledge and experiences of Project Stage Gates processes, an asset
  • Professional presence in front of customer with demonstrated commercial experience (i.e., Project Management), an asset
