The Global Program Manager is a key position within the Dana TM4 business. This individual will be responsible and accountable for successfully leading a cross functional team in the planning and execution of product development programs and projects from RFQ to production launch. Program Management is a highly respected function in Dana’s global organization due to the unique skill sets required and the impact it has on the company’s bottom line. This position reports to the Global Director of Program Management for Dana WHQ.

Your mandate: revolutionize the world of transportation, while:

  • Assembling the core program team and leading the program planning process to ensure the development of a comprehensive program plan and work breakdown structure, including the pro forma financial basis.
  • Addressing all program needs for design, quality, production, financial and milestone scheduling.
  • Developing and maintaining project time charts and maintain project schedule as agreed upon between internal/external customers and Dana TM4.
  • Planning, leading and conducting timely team meetings and program status reviews based on the defined program management process – which includes direct leadership from functional disciplines such as engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, quality, operations, sales and finance.
  • Communicating or presenting project status as required through reports and program management reviews at all levels.
  • Identifying and resolving project issues, using systemic root cause analysis and providing a robust process for change management.
  • Liaising with internal/external clients regarding program issues, including participation in their meetings.
  • Monitoring the project design, budget, and schedule to ensure they are in line with client specifications. Planning and identifying staffing requirements for the appropriate function in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring successful design, capability, installation and testing of production equipment and tools, including capital equipment procurement and compliance with all required codes.
  • Any other related tasks

 

You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Program Manager, within a complex multi-national matrix based organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, operations or other related field.
  • Experience with mechatronic products (mechanical, electrical, software) required.
  • Excellent knowledge of APQP and program management techniques.
  • Strong understanding of financial analysis concepts and budget management.
  • Proficiency in English at the professional level is required for this position.
  • Strong Office 365 environment and presentation skills.
  • Experience managing difficult negotiations and achieving the desired outcome.
  • Excellent organizational leadership and follow-through skills; proficient in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making; and is aggressive in carrying out assignments and other responsibilities.
  • Proactive, a person who promotes change and seeks opportunities for improvement.
  • A passion for taking ownership and completing projects as a leader and member of a winning and supportive team.
  • PMI certification will be considered an asset.
  • Up to 25% international travel may be required.
