As a Functional Safety Specialist, you will actively participate in implementing unique Safety Mechanisms and strategies that achieve a high diagnostic coverage with the least complexity.  You will participate in activities that identify hazards (malfunctions) at the system level with effects that can cause harm (ASIL B-C-D).

Roles and Responsibilities

Your challenges

  • Participate in/lead functional safety analysis at the system level (System FMEA + FTA)
  • Prepare a functional safety concept (FSC) & requirements (FSR) in accordance with ISO26262 – derived from the Safety Goals
  • Prepare a technical safety concept (TSC) & requirements (TSR) – implementing the FSC
  • Conduct verification and participate in confirmation reviews (verify, Audit and assess) at Sys, HW, SW level
  • Conduct or participate in evaluating the HW metrics (or reliability metrics) – asset: prior knowledge of Reliability prediction techniques (MIL-STD-217F Notice 2/FIDES/SN29500)

 

Your strengths

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with Focus on Electronics or Mechanical or Aerospace or Software Engineering
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience
  • Good understanding of Functional Safety Analysis (FMEA, FMEDA, FTA) & Reliability prediction Techniques
  • Willing to learn automotive Functional Safety (FuSa) techniques
  • Good English (spoken + written) (must)
  • Prior knowledge of FuSa standards ISO26262 – IEC 61508 – ARP 4761 – DO178B or C
  • Hands-on approach
  • Good communication skills
  • Sense of ownership
